If you've followed my blog since the begining, you will notice a repetition of characters who appear in my photos. This post is dedicated to my dear friend Dion, whose birthday party it was on Friday.
I met Dion when I first started going to house parties in San Francisco. I was 16, he was 19. I would always see him around, and he never failed to give off the aura of cool. Throughout the years we'd bump into one another, but it wasn't until the past year that I had the pleasure of seeing him more often. One thing that I love to complain about in regards to San Francisco lifestyle, is that I constantly hear my peers boasting their huge ideas and creative schemes, without ever following through with them. D is in direct opposition to this. I've watched his band, Late Young, from conception (I was at that first house party, but don't remember much except for kneeling behind a garbage bin...), and am now a huge fan and barely miss a show. They're damn good. Word on the street is that he has a clothing project lined up.
Did I mention that he's one of the sweetest fellows and killer dressers? Lately, streetstyle photographers have been eating him up (sfstyle & vanguard both). Here's my photo homage, taken within the last year. Happy 23, D!!!
