Let me introduce you
This lovely piece of crafted leather is my dear Martin Margiela doctor's bag. We first got together in September of 2007. You might wonder, "why haven't I seen this happy couple out in public?" The answer is because of a simple break up. You see, the strap on the top is connected with two studs on either side, and because of the dueling weight of what I carry and the pull of the straps, the studs kept popping out. After one year of wear, I had fixed the problem-strap a total of 4 times, so when it popped out for the 5th, I called it quits and began a hot & heavy affair with a new (old) doctor's bag.
Over at HARPUTS MARKET, we are anything but a simple retail boutique - we have a sewing studio where our inhouse line is produced; we have a small perfumerie; we work on design, from web-design to graphic-design to sandwich-design; we have a leather workshop, where belts are made and dreams come true through buckle-therapy. I don't know why I didn't realize it earlier - that my bag dilemma could be easily solved by the logic used in our leathershop.
And now I'm stuck - in a terrible lovetriangle, a Ménage à Trois if you will...caught between two doctor's bags.
