Inspiration: Rachael from Blade Runner
So yep, it really took me my entire life to finally see Blade Runner yesterday. And really, I'm not surprised that a character with such insanely amazing style is actually not human at all! I was struck by each one of her dramatic collars, sharp shoulders, and accentuated waistlines NOT TO MENTION consistently immaculate hair. Rachael is an example of someone who incorporates "dressing up" into their daily existence, and does not include the word "understated" in her vocabulary...

i want to watch this movie fpr quite some time too. i think i just order it from amazon right now. thanks for the reminder:)
I recently saw this for the first time, too and was thoroughly blown away by the styling.
Oh, god. Love. I have never seen the movie - maybe I should. Love the styling and the hair. Gorgeous.
Saw this in theaters last year when they released that super-serious five disc box set with the new directors cut and absolutely fell in love with her clothes as well. She manages femme fatale with such flair. But the costume design for the whole film pretty much blew me away.
i was just mesmerised by her. there's something about the way she talks i couldn't take my eyes off her lips!
Thats exactly how i wear my hair, for realz exactly
I just watched it for the first time about a month ago...really interesting movie! I love that it was kind of a multi-cultural end of days Tokyo.
Umm, I officially have to see this movie now.
shes incredible. i just rewatched recently and her whole thing, especially in that last scene...to die for!
I just watched this movie a couple weeks ago for a film noir class. Loved the costumes more than the film! Rachel has such an incredible style, she wears her fur coats so effortlessly. Pris also had a very cool style.
love it! best movie ever ever ever!!! amazing blog
xx
bonne nuit

I'm shocked that you hadn't seen this previously. It's one of my all time favorite films, regularly cited/quoted/cannibalized in my daily life. I hope you saw the director's cut without the Harrison Ford voice over, which was added for American audiences. Blade Runner (you probably already know this) was based on the short story, Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep? by Philip K. Dick. Awesome. It's certainly influenced my fashion design and sense. I'm so glad you dug it!

Saw it for the first time in teenage years, and never looked back. The cyberpunk, bodyelectro, any electro, and her strict and restrained silhouette, but all blurry, soft and diffused, the dirt and polish....
i'm definitely going to see it tonight! Carry it around on my mac for AGES! Tonight's the night! Thanks for sharing!
I love this movie, I have no idea what happened, But the clothes<33

Ugh that is the most amazing movie visually, everything is exactly to my liking. But the actual movie is kind of boring.
