Flash photos eliminate sweaty foreheads
Today it is really fucking hot in NYC. Like I could take a cookie mold and press it into the air and come out with gingerbreadman-shaped pieces of muggy sky. I've been tempted to wear the studded dress that I made every day, because honestly it is the most comfortable practical aerodynamic sack-dress imaginable. However, if I wore the same thing every day I would feel really boring and you guys would be equally bored. This is one ensemble that I came up with, thanks to two items that I have not had since San Francisco; 1) Black bandeau top that I thought I had lost, but was actually stuffed in the tiniest corner in my monster luggage, and I didn't discover it until unpacking in NY. 2) Black boots, purchased in London last year - I had left them in SF, and my mom was kind enough to bring them to me when she visited at the beginning of the month!
Also, I apologize for the slowdown with posts. I had an unfortunate breakage of my camera lens but after a lucky find on craigslist, I am back in business. PS - I'm still working on answering all of the questions from a few weeks ago, I promise I will post the answers later this week!

why suffer in closed-toed shoes if it's so hot?
I should have noted that the outfit above is from last night - which was significantly cooler, and ended up raining. Today I resorted back to studded-sack dress. Sigh.

Girl. Don't know how you do it in this heat. I am dying. But then I get on the subway and freeze! But I've basically resorted to cutoff shorts and cotton tanks. I fail at fashion in summer. Will you be at both animal collective shows this weeknd?

I bought the boots at a vintage store in London one year ago. They were a bit overpriced (no surprise!!) but I thought they were so unique...I couldn't quite figure out if they were extremely tacky or really wicked.
