NEWLY OBSESSED WITH KATA SZEGEDI

More Future Classics for Feminine Dress

I can't find many things better than discovering new work that excites and inspires me. Hungarian designer Kata Szegadi's Fall/Winter collection is a combination of elements that I love - angular, strong, geometric, hard/soft and finally, feminine! All in all, I could imagine living in a wardrobe completely comprised of her pieces. They are fantasy mixed with practicality - from a multi-tiered sculptural wool coat to patchworked dove gray jersey harem pants (hello, I would live in these). At the base of each ensemble is an equally intricate pair of shoes, which are also part of the collection.

& the SHOES!

YES YES YES. The shoes are fantastic and my God, the first silver jumpsuit is STELLAR! The really colorful dress (or is it a one-piece?) is like a mixture of Pucci and Phi on crack, aka AWESOMENESS. Everything else is fabulous as well! Seriously, she is one talented designer.

So good to see Hungary doing so good. I've lived in Budapest 10 years ago and it was all silicon, in worst possible way.

Love the first shoe! And her clothes are so dominatrix! It's unreal. I love all the shiny and black and dark eyes.. It is fantastic. Hopefully it sticks around for a while so I can get my hands on it and stop drooling.
