This issue of encens came as a surprise from Connie, from her recent trip to New York. Each issue serves as months worth of inspiration, as I've noted before. I was pleasantly surprised to see that many of the articles in this issue are translated into English, although the interviews are still in French. I was also particularly taken by the emphasis on all-white dressing...(click images for larger)

I had to do a close-up on this one. Notice the white lace pants, towel-scarf, and white cap that matches the surf on the horizon line. Better than poetry.

San Francisco Lovelies

When asked "what will you miss about San Francisco?" the answer really is the people. QUALITY, I say! Kirsten & Tyler organized a brunch & mimosa photo-studio party for me today, and bless their souls it was divine. As each guest walked in, I couldn't help but notice that there was a tacit dress code of black. I was met with "Well I thought about wearing something with color, but then I remembered the party was for Zana...". I only snapped a few photos (and there are many who came who I wasn't able to capture in time), but there is a whole set of professional-grade studio pics coming soon.

I would write more, but now I have to run and figure out outfit number 2, as tonight is also Zach's going-away party (he's moving to New York in two days!!!!)

Like a long lost twin.

When I was in Paris last year, I tried these suckers on during Collette's half off sale. I stupidly decided to pass them up, and have been trolling ebay for my size ever since. Today the shoe gods smiled down at me, and granted me the ONLY bid on these size 40 suckers!! And the real kicker is that I purchased them for a significant amount less than their 200euro Collette price. SWEET SUCCESS. Monster feet, here I come.
