The perks of travel

One thing that I love about New York is that its such a central destination point. Example: Domonique went back to San Francisco this morning, but last night two of my dear friends from Vienna came into town!! Of course, I had to have all of my children together at the same time. A beautiful thing happened - we had a faaahhhbbbuuuuulllllous time.

ROZALB DE MURA VS LURVE MAGAZINE VS MANY

Just as the Cole Mohr shoot was an incredible meeting of the minds, this piece on designer Rozalb De Mura (rozalbdemura.ro) for LURVE MAGAZINE turned into an all-star collaboration of another kind. I have been following the Romanian designer for years now, and was thrilled to do a shoot with his pieces. Of course, not just anyone can pull of garments. Luckily for me, model/stylist/muse Hyuna Kim happened to be in Berlin for fashion week (we met in Paris), and the connection was immediate.

I have nothing more at the moment. Just swimming in pure bliss. Who needs a boyfriend when you have black leather shark-fin boots?

AND THE WINNER IS...

Drumroll please...

So it seems like about half of you thought my mystery boot purchase was Finsk, and although I'd love to own those two, the rest of you hit the nail on the head when you guessed correct - Rick Owens! They were a lucky find in yoox.com's sample sale. I never though that I'd be able to wear this signature shoe, never mind purchasing them for a third of their retail price! At first I was unsure of the white stripe on the toe from the preliminary photo, but I am really enjoying the textured leather in person. I was going to just dye it black (I'm so predictable), but I think I'm going to leave it white for a bit and see how it settles in with me.

So to end this entry, I am very very very happy. My feet are very very very happy. I don't do drugs, but I sure do feel a little extra something when I put my toes into untouched leather.
