Well I'll Start at the Beginning
Usually when I ease up on blogging, there is a very good reason - the amount of chores on my "to-do" list has piled up to a bubbling-over extreme. I've been running around like the notorious chicken with its head cut off, double-checking my calendar, and triple-checking my email until 4am. Why? Oh, well for starters...
I'm going to Paris tomorrow!1. I'll be joining the LURVE Magazine crew for 3 days to celebrate the launch of our 3rd issue, which will appropriately be celebrated on 3/3 (this is also going to be my 3rd time in Paris...can I stop with the 3 references please?)
2. My beloved Veronique Branquinho boots are back from shoe repair. They've been crippled with a broken zipper since December (oops) and I haven't found an appropriate time to get them fixed until this week.

3. Third, I FINALLY got a new laptop. I've been working on this sad cracked machine for over a year and a half in the state that you see it below. With some amazing luck, a friend-of-a-friend was getting rid of a barely used macbook which happened to be the exact same model as my disheveled one. Yes, I've been blogging and photo-editing on 3/4 of a screen since October 2008. NO MORE!

4. Another cause for excitement (for you!) is that I've decided to put Cameron's custom harness into production. I've aptly titled it the "CC Harness" and just put it up on my shop today. You can order it in white, black, or tan - all orders placed between today and 3/7 will be shipped on Monday the 8th. Buy it HERE

5. I caved in and bought these super long buttery leather fingerless Martin Margiela gloves yesterday from the store that I work at, Eva Gentry. The stoney, off-gray color of them is so haunting and a natural offset to all of the black in my wardrobe. Madame DIVINITUS has the same pair on black - I might end up dying mine the same color in time if they get too dingy.

I found it very surprising that Rad Hourani chose to use sequins as an accent fabric for his FW10 collection. Although I arrived about 5 minutes too late to get in (was NOT going to take a cab from the Thom Browne show uptown - the subway fucked me over), what I've seen from the photos leaves a lot to be curious about. I've always been a believer in daytime sequins, and I like how Rad Hourani has done the same - taking a material that can easily come off as gaudy or costume-like and styling it with hard cuts and brooding angles. Kind of helps my DIY sequined pants from last month make a little bit more sense?
