HENRIK VIBSKOV SOHO STORE OPENING

Quick, hide!!! Its a swift Scandinavian invasion! Everyone's favorite Danish designer, Henrik Vibskov, can now call a little pocket of Broome street 'home'. For me, the clean/playful aesthetic of the shop instantly transported me back to Mitte in Berlin. I almost found myself saying "entschuldigen" (excuzzzeee meee) when I was trying to squeeze my way through the space.

Aside from Vibskov's famously cheerful colorful prints & garments, I saw pieces by Stine Goya and Uslu Airlines nail polish. I love the notion of a brand's shop supporting their entire vision by personally curating the works of other relevant designs! And if the whole experience wasn't full enough, about an hour into the opening Henrik & his friend began to jam with each other on a double drum set - a gesture of relaxed play that is often missing, but definitely needed & welcome in the New York retail scene.

Hypnotized by the the bandaid=like fabrication of this suede dress!

I'm and extremely happy person! (not offended)

And just because I might not personally wear some of his pieces, doesn't mean that I don't love them. And there are actually several dresses in black at the shop that I probably need to come back and try on :-) .

definitely IN LOVE with the bandaid-like fabric dress... very useful for daily cuts and stabbed backs.
