THAT MAGICK FEELING

Sunday morning, I'm hungover after seeing Cold Cave play last night. No energy to leave bed, scrolling aimlessly through tumblr's, and all of a sudden I stop on an image and that feeling hits me...a familiar urge, one that comes without warning, hits me hard, the faint rumble of rattlesnakes and...I MUST DIY!!! There are some garments & collections that never leave my conscience, such as the incredible detail work featured in the Marios Schwab SS2011 collection which I immediately blogged about. For some reason, an image of a pair of studded brogues instantly brought me back to those star-stitched boots and I realized I had just the pair of base boots to apply the concept to.

The boots are by Vagabond, via Solestruck.com . A strong heel is is a necessity for me, both structurally and aesthetically. Not only do these boots form a bold silhouette, but they are extremely comfortable to stomp around in.

Voila! Double evil on my feet.

That last picture is incredibly great! I really dig the different levels/textures/opacities going on!

I got a pair of ill-fitting black leather clogs for half price at beacon's closet last weekend. They've already got a few studs but if you want to do more of this excellent business, they'd be the perfect canvas! xo

Zana, you are the leather queen! I am in awe at how straight those lines are! They look fabulous :)
I'm attempting a similar DIY endeavor actually. I have this pair of boring black leather lace-up boots, and I'm trying to cover the entire toe and vamp in an array of spikes. And since I lack proper leather-work tools, I resorted to shoving an exacto-knife into a drill to use for hole making lol
Anyways, great work!
